Optima Backplate - Final version ready for release

Ok I am about sick and tired of having to keep a hand on the optima at all times. So I would really like to get one of those shiny new back plates. However I have the 1st gen optima (not the Fx) so here is my question. Is it even worth getting the fx conversion if your going to buy the Al backplate?

The aluminum backplate will not fit on the 1st generation models.
It is designed for the FX.

I do even own an Optima but wouldn't mind seeing a pic in case I decide to buy one in the future.

OK, All Optima Divers!!!

I have received several PMs about this and people wanting to buy from me directly. If it is something custom then please PM me for more information, otherwise sales will be through DR Expr web site. The price is $599.00 USD and includes the shipping costs.

My aluminum supplier and machine shop have raised their prices substantially. This cost increase combined with the free shipping has raised the price of my backplate at DR Expr. The markup is very low and DR Expr is not making very much money on these plates.
