Optima Training

Hi All,

just a quick note to let you all know I'm now speaking with a "southern" aussie acent.

For the past three days I've been trying my best to hammer the Optima, but alas, so far It has not let me down. John Jones has been putting me through my pases and if my unit holds up as well as his has, I sure will be happy.

Tomorrow I'm off down to 40 Fathom Grotto so will see how it goes in the deeper range.

A more detailed report will have to wait until late next week when I get home

I'm waiting on my Optima. Are you training on yours, or a loaner? John has agreed to take me on as a Basic CCR student in the near future. Can't wait! Keep us posted on your progress.

hi jason and chris,

i'm also waiting on Optima (p is by no means silent, such as option, although it may be silent if it comes at the top like ptosis). we have an authorized dive rite dealer downtown tokyo.

although i have dove dolphin about 100 dives, i also need to take a basic CCR course again. it's a bit pain in my XXX

Also we sold out the trip to chuuk, almost (and you can afford the airfare home, I paid my bill)

Hey Ken Chung
Under IANTD your Instructor can give you some credit for your SCR experience, but as I said, it is at the Instructors discretion

Are you training on your own Optima, or using [one of] John's? Also, where is the majority of the training taking place? (What towns in Florida?)

Forgot to add that crossing over from one CCR to the next IANTD allows as well a crediting of previous experience, up to the instructors discretion ... and yes, we provide training for the Optima.

Yea at the recreational level it can be done in 2 dives and 210 minutes if you have at least 12 dives on anouther CCR
