hey optima guys. since i am a new owner of an optima, i am looking at the backplate/frame and wondering about the use of carbon fiber strips w/ the appropriate expoxy as a way to strenghten the plastic frame. any comments/suggestions?

I tried to fix my old broken Optima BP with carbon fiber strips + epoxy. Unfortunately, epoxy doesn't hold very well on the material of the BP, and it also lacks flexibility. As soon as I put a little bit of stress on the BP and bent it a little bit, the strips and epoxy came off.
