| Re: Optima Hammerhead issue resolved I believe it was the wiring harness, not the cell. I have already replaced it with a new one. I guess I'll find out during the next dive if it was really the harness. |

Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Optima Hammerhead issue resolved Hi Marc, I can't say for Marc, but in my case the first instance was on a day of 4 dives and I didn't have a spare harness or cell to change out with. I was told that it was probably the harness (after the fact) and told what to look for and correct. No criticism, just curious as to why you wouldn't just change out the problem cell. Shouldn't take to long and would eliminate the most likely source of the problem. Regards, Tony The next weekend: This made no difference and I began to move the sensors in the head. When the problem moved with the sensor I was certain of the problem and replaced the sensor.

If I make up a single sensor lead, it will be easy to isolate the problem between the harness and sensor without pulling out the entire harness. Could then replace the sensor (if faulty) or use test lead in lieu of faulty harness lead for the dive. Regards, Tony |

| Re: Optima Hammerhead issue resolved perhaps a couch dive would be a good protocal for such situations in the future...and changing out the cell earlier on. but hind sights generally 20/20.

I tried that too. I could not get the problem to occur without it banging around on a boat![]()
