Re: Hammerhead in open water

I also like carrying my last stop out at 20 feet rather than 10 feet. However, I pretty much already follow the time called for by the handsets for 10 feet while still at 20. It won't always clear out the 10 foot stop (although this might be improved with the new version of the sets). However, it works pretty well overall.

Re: Hammerhead in open water

I don't know why anyone wouldn't want that functionality (not to set the shallowest stop at 6m but to be able to set it at 3/4.5/6). We know Kevin is aware of the feature request. Let him determine how to best do it and how to prioritize it.

As a former product manager, I know what it's like to deal with customer's request and as an engineering manager, I now know what it's like to honor them

However a thread to collect ideas for other improvements wouldn't be bad. I haven't even trained on the O2ptima/HH yet so I'll let someone else start it.

Two comments...

1) The thread exists just do a search to find it...

2) I think it's easy to see that Kevin monitors the feedback and comments on this list regularly..

Dive Safe..

We will add this request to our List, and one day, it will show up as a "Cool New Feature".

Thanks for the input.

The problem of hanging and not clearing the 20 and 10 ft stops till you go through them seems to be cured on the new handsets and new software. It still don't like to clear the last minute of the 10ft stop at 20ft but as soon as you pass around 12ft it clears. The new software is great Kevin and the backup deco works great. They stay within a minute of each other and that as close as you can ask for. GOOD JOB

Did I help in talking you into the Optima? Good choice!

Hope I can dive with you soon.

Re: Hammerhead in open water

Doug, I was going back and forth for months. I talked to you one afternoon and took the decision then.

I look forward to diving with you as well. Small steps though, let's not hit the deepest, meanest, coldest wreck right away, ok ?
