Nice work boys, I'm sure it will be a quality product. If I were to have any input in this exercise I would not only like to see the comprehensive features comparison that you guys are putting together but also a shortcomings list sitting right along side. Then next to that again the aftermarket options to fix the shortcomings.

Things like but not limited to;

PRISM. Shit harness that promotes alpinism. Visit Tobin and he will sell you somthing cool
YBOD. Battery issue - Lithium is for froot loops. Sorry your'e stuck (www.divetek.com)
AZI. No pO2 monitering. Visit Drager
Dolphin. SCR - ewwww
Sport KISS. Not tough enough for overhead work. See some dodgy bloke from the Middle East.

Hi Steve,

collecting all factual data is hard enough.

Adding subjective ratings will be biased (or seen like that) and differ from one person to another. You apearantly think the battery in the YBOD is an issue. Probably plenty of YBOD divers who disagree. Same with the PRISM's BC, some will prefer the stock version over a bp/w combo. Same for front, o-t-s or back mounted counterlungs, electronic vs. manual control etc.

No end in sight and plenty of people offended.

Instead, list the facts so people can judge for themselves. Including number, type and position of all batteries, kind of BCD, kind of gas addition etc.

Then skip the subjective stuff and just add the factual information on where to get aftermarket add ons.
You don't have to make the comment that the prism harness is shit - just have the information on BP options. Lets the reader infer what they like from the information that there is a ready aftermarket supply of a particular component.

I am surprised that any Rebreather ships with a harness that isn't optimised to carry slung stages when about dive three of any course will be with at least one stage. This is one area where I really think Gordon has it over the other manufacturers - let the punters take responsibility for thinking about the best harness for them - don't make every purchaser wear the cost of supplying a compromise.

Isn't that what the links section is for?

Do you know how many aftermarket add-ons there are for the YBOD alone?
And for the Dolphin? Dude, this is not a paying fulltime job!

Well-proven product that protects the SK very well, I have "witnesses" as well during the "crash"-test dive where the wreck propeller won...
