![]() | Rebreather Testing With sixteen i started diving..now i dive for about eight years. Last summer was special..i was able to test a rebreather. It belonged to a diving instructor from nice. It was an oxygers rebreather from 1957. A belly mounted rebreather with a back pack. I just could try it in the pool because it was too dangerous to wear in the sea.(because it was old).It was also summer and i testet it in the pool without a wetsuit just in a bikini. I always wanted to try such a rebreather. When i put it on it really was uncomfortable. The big front pack really pressed hard on my stomach nearly unable to breath. The back pack was very heavy too, and tied together strong with the front pack. After some minutes it was more comfortable, and i really could get used to this diving suit for standard equipment. I like especially the belly mounted pack because you have better control of the resources you use. And its comfortable too. Sadly in normal diving the oxygen bottels are mounted on the back and not on stomach and chest. I really loved it and hope there will be such a normal diving set to buy. Greets Jaqueline |
