Question What do you use to disinfect your loop ?

Hello guys,

What do you use to clean your loop, any particular products ? (any product easy to find in asia would be very welcome)

Definitely should be able to find in asia as what the use to disinfect for bird flu.

if you struggle some shops in OZ do post.

I don't! Just open it up after the day's diving and let it dry out. And so far, so good.

um, you are at least rinsing out the exhale counter lungs and loop with water after each day of diving, right?

Virkon S is meant for veterinary and livestock use. There is also a version called Virkon (no "S"), which is deemed "Suitable for Human Use".

I have only used Virkon myself but most of the time veterinary stuff works the same just cheeper. Checkout the MSDS sheets and see if there is anything different.

Virkon, Virkon S, Pet Virkon - all the same stuff. Just have to have different labels dependng upon end use.

Incidentally, it is great stuff, but be careful with your clothes as it can stain them - as my new trousers found out!! Smells great too!
