scrubber life

Hi guys

am recently new to my inspo (approx 20hrs).

last weekend i had a scruuber warning on my unit. i was at 22 m when the alarm and hud showed me there was a problem and the handset read low scxrubber warning. i stayed on the loop, as the temp stick still show apprrox a 10 mm to use area. i managed to surfacxe fine, with no probs!

should i have bailed out?

the main concern that i have is that when i anaylised my dives for that scrubber life it only tallied up to 147mins. i can add perhaps a further 30 mins on prebreathing and surface swim but am concerned at the length of time on the scrubber. i did nothing different with my packing of the scrubber. my buddy suggests that i may have over packed the scrubber, is this a likely cause. i seem toi have done nothing different

your help and advice would be received gratefully

cheers

Clark

Re: scrubber life

147min plus 30min for pre-breath and surface swims, Well to me that is nearly 3 hrs of use.

As AP say after 140mins of use be shallower than 20m!!! I have a temp stick on my vision inspo and think its a great way of seeing how the scrubber bed is working but not for extendind scrubber life at depth.

i presume the 177mins of use was not all on the same day, so could the fact that the sorb had been used before dryed out then re-used again some time later have anything to do with it.

P.S i personly would not be swiming about in 22m on a scrubber with nearly 3hrs on it after multi-days of use. A deco hang at 6m on a fresh scrubber that day on a 3hr trimix dive is different, as the scrubber is not working hard in the shalows. And the sorb has not dryed out in between days.

Yes. Even if just for a few breaths to see if anything felt different. CO2 messes with your head so don't muck with it.

Over packing is quite hard. You can pat-pat-tighten forever and it's still OK. Underpacking is the bitch. I had a breakthrough from that at about two and a half hours. Totally my fault.
