![]() | My thanks to Andy Hayhurst (Dales divers) for a top quality Mod 1 Inspiration course, It was challenging as Andy's courses always are, but good fun and I learned a great deal. Thanks also to Simon Lawrence (gadget) and julie for the help, support, advice and a general good laugh, though at times being the subject for Andy and Simon playing lets see how much kit we can unclip from him games! was a tad stressing, however one of the unexpected advantages of a breather is the ability to swear at people very clearly underwater... However, I am always aware the end result of Andy's intensive training and games are increased skills and confidence. So all in all I had a great time, oh apart from the tunnel at Hodge ( I am 6ft4.) oh and also smacking myself in the nadgers trying to connect my pee valve at Wastwater... was'nt the best time Ive ever had either There now will be a short delay while Mrs Price delivers the expected offspring. Then I can turn my attention to aquiring a Meg. Ian |

![]() ![]() | Re: Mod 1 Course Congratulations on passing MOD1. Just a quick question though. You said you did your course on an Inspiration but you are looking to acquire a Meg. I'm aware that the Meg is similar to an Inspo (but I think loop goes in other direction). So are you going to cross-train on the Meg when you get it? Or did your course cover the Inspiration and Meg? Or does your course cert say you are allowed to dive both the Inspiration and Meg? regards mark

![]() | Re: Mod 1 Course Hi Mark no the course was a PSA CCR coursefor the Inspro. The idea was that I was interested in, but not convinced about, the CCR route on the Meg or Inspiration. So Before I forked out the dosh for either I organised to do the inspro course with Andy H on a borrowed unit. Partly to see if closed circuit was a good idea etc etc. I am a fairly late convert to the dark side, smile and I was'nt sure if it was going to be for me! Simon Lawrence (gadget) and Andy both gave me a good look at the Meg at the same time as doing the Inspro course, and I borrowed Andy H's Meg after the course to try it out, diving with Simon. I had some good help and advice also from Dave Cooper and from here via Mark Chase, who kindly took the time to give me his thoughts on the units etc. So the end result was an Inspro ticket and I shall dive on a borrowed inspro for a while until Mrs Price has had the baby and things are stable here again! ( I am 46 my youngest is 19) At that point I think I will order a Meg and do a full Meg course. |
