Question to all Meg Divers

I'm about to order one but I'm still very unsure about the electronics.

What are u guys using and why???

I am using APECS 2.01a electronics, i use this as this is the one supplied by ISC, when i got my Meg, ISC had stopped the Shearwater, though as i understand it is available again but not through ISC directly. Also the Hammerhead is available for the Meg, but i am not fond of the low hours the batteries gives.
Will get a new Meg when the APECS 3 come out and i will either sell my current one or put it in the shop as a rental.

I have the same as Jonny above...just around 50 dives on the unit but very happy so far....Hammerhead is not an option for me but will consider a upgrade to 3.0 with deco-software when well tested and on the market....or just plug in a sensor in the counterlung and connect my Vr3 for live-deco

Have Shearwater on mine and love it.

You too can now get Shearwater Megs again - unit off Leon, leccies off Bruce.

I have the same as Jonny above. It is simple. Like the idea of having cruise control but always dive manually. I use the VR3 for my cmpt and use tables as backup.

It worked out great with this system because I can use my VR3 for when teaching OC.

I can see the price going up when version 3.0 comes out.

Me and Gadget have APECS 2.01 and have never had a problem with them,
We will consider 3.0 once it has been tested by a few guineapigs ! !

I chose this over shearwater, as I find it alot easier to use and I just run a VR3

When the apecs 3 comes out: Any of you has an idea when? plus should I wait until then to buy the entire unit or just upgrade later, plus, anyone has an idea how much that will be???

For the Hammerhead??? Anybody dives it on the meg and actually likes it??

Thanks for the tip with the shearwater but I'm austrian and I have no idea who Leon or Bruce is...can u help me out with some info...

Have you ever used a Shearwater Meg - I have used both and the menu systems are practically identical - with that being the case and with Shearwater having built in deco and a single point calibration I struggle to see how the APECS is easier - cheaper I will give you

(perhaps even more realiable - well, before Leon chaged the waterproofing any way) but not easier......

and I still prefer APECS 2.01and my VR3
and as for cost, if APECS was more expensive I would have still got it as In my opinion, you cannot put a price on life support equipment
