sorb in oz ???

hiya !

im new to rebreatherworld and have a tricky question (at least to me).

does anyone out there have any ideas on how to get 100 lbs or so of sorb (sofnolime, sodasorb, whatever) in (or to) Brisbane, Australia at a reasonable price, within a couple weeks ?

shipping from the US appears to be sheer insanity....

Both are breather divers and Dive related business owners, based in Brisbane, and both have access to sorb by the pallet load.

As a general rule, sorb is fairly easily accessible in oz, sodasorb, sofnalime, medisorb, draegersorb, take your pick... I can't see any reason why you would want to ship it over, especially if you're after only 30kg's or so... (sorry, had to convert it to "real" numbers for ya, get used to it!!!

When you here, where you diving, etc etc etc? Let us know, you'll find most of us a pretty friendly bunch down this way!!!

No prob, I just got up from my afternoon nap, so good timing...

how much time you got in BNE, I actually work at the airport (domestic), and Jason's shop is only 10 minutes down the road.

I'm sure if time is a bit tight, something can be arranged.

Also, who you diving with in PNG? If its MV Golden Dawn, last I heard, they had sorb on the boat... Any others, and have you specifically asked if they'll let you take your breather?

yeah, the golden dawn, but they are running out of sorb, and may not have it in time...

ill be in bne for a little over 24 hours, actually, so i could pick some up pretty easily, if its around...

i sent emails to the 2 guys you recommended, and im just waiting to hear back...
