The Evolution and cameras

Hello,

This must be a common question, but I couldn't find the answer.

I'm interested in purchasing an Evolution rebreather. Can anyone say whether the breathing loop makes it difficult to bring an underwater camera up to compose a picture?

Thanks.

David

Simple answer yes. But not really any different to it hitting your Regs on OC. Of course it very much depends on the depth of the Camera housing. I shoot an Ike and fine the bottom of the housing rests nicley on my HUD.

Cheers
Chris

Hi David

I found when I switched to rebreather diving, that life as a photographer does get more difficoult. The mouthpiece is bigger, so the camera viewfinder if further away. The breathing loop can be really annoying, as it blocks the instant view of your flash settings. The boyancy control can be a real pain in midwater if you want to do minor correction of position, when you are penetrating a wreck and are shooting closeup of artifacts with a fine silt layer on them.
But all that said, when you find ways to work arround these problems. Then the rebreather has made my diving easier.

Cheers
Johnny
