GCS/QC's + BOV's /Vision hud

Sorry for the stupid question but I'd rather get this right than find I got it wrong even at 1 metre let alone 40 !

Ok quick connects from AP :-
Do the male & female parts seal when apart or only the female part ?
If you are using QC's do you fit the male or the female to the tank end ?
Any reason not to do it the other way ? (just so I know why !)
Is the AP auto air hose fitting one half of a QC for their GCS ?

Next BOV's
Which if any of the BOV's can you fit the Vision Hud bracket straight to with no mods ?

As far as the Qcs go the auto air end is the female fitting that should be attached to the tank end and yes both ends seal,it is the pressure that opens the male fitting so it has to be female into male.

Surely the male goes "into " the female

or is this what SWMBO has been complaining about ?

The standard HUD bracket can be clipped straight onto the Nemotech, no ajustments needed.

Well, if it helps, I us the female on the tank end, and the male on the reg end. Think about the Auto Air, it's this way round. I don't know why but that's the only way round I've seen people running them.

They do both seal, definitely.

That's the way round I was told to set it up.

Is there a 1-way valve in one of the parts?

If you plug them together underwater when pressurised does any water get into the hose (been wondering this for a while)?
