![]() ![]() ![]() | Tracking Device for CCR P02? Hello everyone: Two questions. 1: Is there a device used on any model Rebreather, either built in or purchased as an accessory, that logs the loop P02 like a dive logging computer does, such as the Sensuspro does for depth and time? http://reefnet.ca/products/sensus/ This way, in case of problems or accidents, the unit can playback the status of P02? 2: Is there a real time sensor available for loop PC02? Thanks! Saturation Last edited by saturation : 22nd December 2005 at 16:43. |

The controller that I am building (for my homebuild) does this, along with logging any faults/alarms that it is aware of, and the diver-selected setpoint. It is explicitly intended as a "black box" log. |

| Custom Title Allowed! Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Tracking Device for CCR P02? Hi Saturation, Try contact Kevin Gurr at www.vr3.co.uk because the VR3 can track if connect to the loop. I use mine off loop that is way I can't tell you how looks like the graphics with the unit connect into the loop after you download the dive profile but Kevin will give you all the informations. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Tracking Device for CCR P02? Yup, it the PO2 of a 4th cell attached to a VR£ is logged even if you aren't using it in External PO2 mode.

![]() | Re: Tracking Device for CCR P02? As the others have already mentioned, the VR3 with external cell does it. Prodive screen grab: http://gvdh.kol.co.nz/Photos/dive1_M&M&G.jpg You can also export the dive data in ascii format and play with it yourself PPO2 control was a bit all over the place on that particular dive... | Cap Ron scourge of the NW ![]() ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Tracking Device for CCR P02? The HS explorer dive computer will also record your PO2 if connected. Currently there is no Rebreather with the ability to track actual CO2 in the loop. The vision electronics tracks scrubber stack temperature which shows the diver where the reaction is currently at, but its not basing it measurments on amount of CO2. There are currently several folks designing and building CO2 monitors for RB's, its only a matter of time. Do a search for "Tom Rose" I have been thinking about a measurement device, sort of a cockpit data recorder for the CCR diver and not only should it record PO2 and CO2, but cylinder pressures, depth, diver vitals, like heartrate, respiration rate, maybe oxygen perfusion through a pulse oximeter. The Polar series of monitors might be adaptable for this process, they are wireless now, but maybe need a different RF to work underwater. The data recorder would have room for maybe 24 hours of data and when any two things stop moving, its freezes the recording so the data will be not written over should the diver not be found soon enough. If we dont learn the mistakes that can be made, we cant teach ways around them.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Tracking Device for CCR P02? The Polar heart monitor works just fine underwater. We used them for Underwater Hockey, and they worked like a charm depth considerations might be another matter though. Web- http://www.polar-usa.us/polar-axn300.html 100 meter rating. Plus, you could set an alarm for certain heart rate threshold. Andrew

It seems that the second column is the depth, but cannot determine what sort units it is measured in. It cannot be feet, nor meters... cubits, or furlongs, perhaps? |
