![]() | comparison of Rebreather's Could someone point me to an article or existing thread that might summarize the features and current prices for current Rebreather's in the market inspiration/evo,kiss/sports kiss, megalathon, and prism? Thought the kiss might be right for me, but as I read more I'm starting to warm up to the idea of an ECCR... |

| Who loves ya, baby ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: comparison of Rebreather's Pakman, I don't believe there is a single thread listing, comparing and discussing all the features of all the CCRs out there. Would be a rather big project. Furthermore it's hard to find a single person being neutral, fair and well versed enough to do the comparison without causing nasty fights. People tend to be very protective of the units they dive. ![]() Ron Micjan has a comparison chart on his website, as well as teardowns of several units. His Ouroboros and MK-5p teardowns are also in our library (if not they will be as we're rebuilding it). Also featured there are the Meg, Evolution, PRISM, KISS, a good source for info.

| Who loves ya, baby ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: comparison of Rebreather's Forgot the magazines ... ADM has done a really nice job in regards to rebreather articles. Going all the way back to the PVR-BASC and Cis-Lunar rebreathers. All of the earlier articles are available on disk in pdf format if you don't want to ship all issues. Check on the website. In the Fall 2004 issue of IANTD's Nitrox Diver were articles on the units available at the time (Inspiration, KISS, Megalodon PRISM), a look ahead (Sport Kiss, Evolution, Nemesis, Ouroboros), the two legends (MK15 and MK-5p) as well as a brief one about O2 CCRs (LAR V, C-96) and two about CO2. The following issue covered active and passive SCRs. More recently the Spring 2005 issue covered the Evolution and Sport Kiss. That issue also had Don Shirley's account of Dave Shaw's fatal dive. You might want to contact IANTD and see if they have leftovers. And if they will continue the magazine, the Ouroboros and O2ptima are missing in my collection. ![]()
