Hello from NY

Hi everyone, my name is Joe and I am from NY. I am a wreck/deep diverdiving mostly in the NorthEast Atlantic. I have been diving for 6 years and I have been certified in Advanced Nitrox & Decompression diving and soon to be certified in Trimix. I am interested in learning rebreathers but I know nothing about them other than they can be expensive. What is a good rebreather to own that is going to last and that can be used for deep dives. Any extra add-ons you would recommend with it? And where can I learn more information. This website can be a little overwhelming, I dont know where to start. I was able to find the comparison chart however I would like to see what everyone recommends. I am sure that this is asked alot and I am sorry for the repeated question...Thank you for your response.

Re: Hello from NY

mccr = manually controlled closed circuit Rebreather. this type of unit requires the operator to monitor po2 displays and physically inject needed o2/diluent gas.

eccr = electronically controlled closed circuit Rebreather, this type uses an electronic controller device, a computer, to control the content of the breathing gas.

but dont take my word for it, read the archeives and ask questions.

best,
