I thought it was an excellent write-up. I wish I could write so captivatingly. Shoot, I just wish I had some pictures of my diving progression.

Anyway, well done, and making it an article sounds super.

Re: A year in the life of a new CCR diver

Nice write up Mark, I remember back in the day a few months after getting my dolphin cert, thinking, there has got to be a better way to dive this unruly thing, then the CCR Dolphin was born and getting that sorted out, started right off on trimix (was OC level 5 mix). Now its the meg to over 340fsw and having a great time, welcome to the club mate!

Re: A year in the life of a new CCR diver

We thought that Mark's account of his first year on CCR was great and decided to make it into an article

The post can now be found HERE

Re: A year in the life of a new CCR diver

Mark, thanks for posting this article. maybe in another 6 months or so i will put one together for a year in the life of a new recreational CCR diver. In your aticle you mention that it would just not be worth it if you were doing mostly recreational limits. Simply being able to double my average bottom time and NDL's and not having to deal with the limits of variable po2 nitrox diving has won me over and it costs about the same per hour as nitrox...once you make the initial big outlay. IMHO
