To be honest, I can't remember exactly, but I thought there was a write-up in one of the defunct magazines. Probably was Immersed around 98-99 ? Sorry...

AFAIK and remember, he dived it in SCR mode -- but don't quote me. "Closing the loop" then wasn't as popular as now.

Regarding dual tank training and rebreathers; all the time you have in the water counts toward your overall comfort but all skills on open circuit do not translate to closed circuit and vice versa. It makes no sense to me to invest in equipment that you will not use when you could invest in the equipment of choice ccr and invest in the skill training to become accomplished as a Trimix ccr diver

Dräger had originally planned an 80 meter version of their SCR.
They did build some prototypes, and I believe ANDI trained some of their employees.
Extended Range SCR is (or at least was last time I looked) one of their programms,
but I don't think it's offered for the Dolphin (anymore).

Dräger also supported some private divers a few years back during an expedition, to Scapa I believe.
Their engineers checked the modified SCRs, gave some tips and even a couple of hardware bits.

Yes, I used to dive pretty often with the guy who organized that trip. AFAIK, nothing really came out of that trip...

Thanks for the info. The Seeker rigs were dived as SCR's using a modified flow for trimix. I can send you a private pic. since I don't have permission to release it to the public.

On another note, you and Zak ought to spice things up on the KISS list because it has been definitely slow(er). It's all about selling and trading hardware as of late.

Nah... Zak could do it...

BTW, Jetsam will have some really "KEWL" new things displayed at their booth in DEMA so anyone going need to make sure to stop by. I have been waiting for one of these things since last year so I am very happy...
