![]() | Re: Which Rebreather... Great list! With the weakening of USD against Sterling/Euro, it would be cheaper for Europeans nowdays to purchase US made CCR nowdays. O2ptima FX and Meg is cheaper than Evolution, that is interesting... ![]() |

| Who loves ya, baby ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Nice job on the Rebreather specs. - Prism should be PRISM Topaz (and Revo II should be rEvo II )- PRISM comes with 3 ltr alu tanks stock - Only one handset (the analog gauge, independent from the HUD) - Stock configuration also includes BCD, inflator-integrated 2nd stage for bailout - cowling is optional - Production, marketing and sales of PRISM (2) will be transfered to Hollis |

![]() | Re: Which Rebreather... Nice list! BTW, Pelagian should be 5800$ Also, you should include travelweight (without tanks and sorb), as that usually means more to people than what it weighs when you are going to jump in the water... |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Which Rebreather... Great work: a grid of this sort has been much needed. Two requests to administrators: Could "Which rebreather" threads be put into a seperate forum category to make it easier for newcomers to search similar threads? The same questions come up time and again, causing the answers to be sometimes a little testy. Questions asking for advice on how to chose a rebreather for a first time buyer have got to be the most common question on this site by a nautical mile. Ideally, this grid comparing different rebreathers could be turned into a kind of Wiki, with a number of people working on it and re-posting it to produce a consensus grid showing a comparison between different rebreathers. It wouldn't be just for first-time buyers: wouldn't it be great if there were a place in Rebreather World you knew you could go to get those hard-to find numbers like WOB comparisons? |

OK, back at work so I've had time to update the sheet ![]() With regards to weights etc - All the information on the sheets has been extracted directly from the manufacturers websites. Where the information hasn't been available, people who own the units have provided the missing data. Most manufacturers only provide the ready to dive weight. The rough £'s price will obviously change depending on the current exchange rate. I think I used approx 1.9 USD to £1 |

![]() ![]() | Re: Which Rebreather... Jo, This is a great post! I'm also a meg diver and a huge suporter of the unit. I took my class from Leon Scamahorn in November 07. one of the things that stuck with me most is the scrubber duration; 1.3 - 1.6 VO2 (variable not constant) Heart rate of 60% or age -220x60%= BPM 68 f loop temp 36 f water temp just some cool to know stuff I got from the man himself. I would like to know what all of the other scrubbers are rated on / at.

Hi seems to me it is an extremely fair comparison comming from a man that claims to be biased.. chapeau!!!I produced this for a friend in the UK who wanted to know what rebreathers were out there. I posted on another forum and decided I may as well post it here too. Bear in mind I'm biased (Meg rules! ). The idea behind this, is it's a starting point to researching Rebreather's.I'm happy to change any missing/incorrect info. Rebreather
