New to Rebreather World!

Hi folks, I'm new to this site but not to diving. My first experience with a rebreather was on grand cayman, many years ago. I've been fascinated with them for many years, and I am interested in buying one for rec/tec use later this year.

I wish I'd had one when I was in Palau & Truk Lagoon (Truk Odyssey). Since we do wreck/penetration & decompression dives, I want to learn more about the best/safest/rebreathers & best maintenance rituals.

Reagrds,

M-A

Welcome to Rebreather World. I'm also relatively new to rebreathers. I've been diving the Optima (Old version) since January this year.
very happy with this unit, even though you will find a lot of posts that complain about the cost of the ExtendAir cartridge. I opted to go for the ExtendAir cartridge in the belief that there is less chance of a caustic cocktail if I get water into the loop. My personal opinion only.
