New to CCR

Hello everyone!!

I've just started my CCR Training (Evolution with Vision electronics). I can't wait to start diving!! I've been diving OC for 4-5 yrs now and absolutely love it. Instead of going to doubles, I've decided a rebreather would be a better choice. I'm taking my training from A+ Pro Divers in Plattsburgh NY. I've taken other classes from him before and he's a great instructor.

Any reading suggestions are welcome!!

Thanks everyone!
Heather.

Re: New to CCR

Welcome to Rebreather World.

My suggested reading would be the archives and articles for the Inspo Vision on here. Also the Divemole web site.

Diver Mole, "Your Inspiration Buddy"

The Moles web site isnt the most current thing, but there is very useful analysis of fundamental errors people have made in the past. Also you will find information about some aspects of CCR that are still very much current and apply to the Vision and other CCR.

Then post questions on any clarification you need. There are some very helpful people on here who are generous with their key board time.

Apart from that the manual is the best source of info. I have read a few books on CCR but nothing particularly sticks out as ideal. All far too general in their approach.

Good luck

ATB

Re: New to CCR

Welcome Heather,

Enjoy your vision, you will love it the elecs are a well sorted all round package now and are a joy to dive.

Once you get used to it you will never want to go OC again

Enjoy
