Hello from Portland Oregon

Just wanted to introduce myself. I am considering making the jump to CCR and I am looking to meetup with like-minded divers in the Pacific Northwest.

Before I pull the trigger, I am interested in trying a few units. Does anyone know of a scheduled event on the west coast where this might be possible? Is it possible to organize something like this during the Long Beach Scuba Show this year?

Welcome pdxDiver!

You have a few Meg divers in your area (like me

) and the Meg is manufactured up in Centralia so consider a visit up there to hear about that unit. Lots of other information here on Rebreather World about other units with equally happy owners. Good luck in your quest!

Ron Micjan is a meg instructor from Portland who I am sure will be happy to set up a try dive for you. He is usally on this list but is busy playing in Australia at the moment.

We are going to have a "Rebreather Experience" in June, attached is the information.

“Rebreather Experience” in North Seattle Washington & Vancouver Canada

On Saturday June 16th in Mill Creek Washington & Saturday June 30th in Vancouver Canada, Silent Scuba LLC will be supporting a “Rebreather Experience”!
The lectures will be from 10 am to 12 noon, then the pool experience will run until 4 pm.
This is your chance to learn about the advantages and disadvantages of each rebreather and try them out in the pool.
Don’t miss this hands on course that may help you decide which “Rebreather” is best for you?.
