I was not a devotee but he always put a smile on my face when I saw him with the animals. I have never heard of a stingray killing a person. Can't help but think he might have been doing something to it only Steve would do ![]()

![]() | Re: In Memory of Steve Irwin His passion and excitement for animal encounters was infectious and I am positive that he has influenced thousands of wide eyed kids the way Cousteau and Wild Kingdom did for me. His death (from any cause) is a trajedy for his family and his fans, more so that it was his very passion for wild animals that brought him to an early grave. Not many people live thier dreams, and live out thier passions as he did, and he made me smile more than once. Very sad news...

Steve was a great entertainer, albeit outragous, but did a lot for educating many (especially my children) on many interesting creatures. He will be missed! Wishing the best for his wife and children during this heartbreaking time. Ryan |

| New Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: In Memory of Steve Irwin I was shocked to hear the news. When I first heard it my initial thought was that he must have been attacked by a croc! I guess he was experienced with so many species, you would see him almost recklessly provoking a response from a snake, or scorpion or croc, but he obviously knew what he was doing. Such a shame to be lost to such a bizarre turn of events. My thoughts are with his family and friends. At least one could say that he died doing what he loved, however far too soon. He will be missed. |
