I just wanted to tell you all how touched we are by your kind wishes and to know how highly Penny is regarded. The latest news is that the Coastguard have called off their search. They seem to think there is no more they can do. We go to France tomorrow. All we can do is hope and pray for a miracle. Thank you again Fiona Regards Stuart

| Re: Penny Glover I never knew Penny, but she was obviously a lovely person and well-respected diver, and I would like to express my sincere condolences to her family. Jacques was both a colleague and, above all, a true friend. He was not only passionate about diving, but about everything he undertook. He was one of life's true characters who lived life to the full and whose charm and grace touched all those who were privileged to know him. At work, his passing will leave a 'vide' that will be impossible to replace, and outside of work, those of us who knew Jacques have lost more than a dear friend. We miss you.... My heartfelt sympathy and condolences to Christine, Margaux and Carole. Courage ŕ vous toutes Ian |

I am one of the privileged few who have been sub 100 metres with Penny, she was one of the best divers I have ever met. Godspeed girl and save a place for me on the diveboat in the sky. Dave. |

| Re: Penny Glover What a loss; again two great persons gone because of their incredible passion for diving. After Ghassem. now Jacques and Penny... Deep respect they had towards one another; once diving buddies, three members of the same club, who loved to dive the sea in the South of France. Unfortunately the Mediterrenean wouldn't let them go. I wish both families all the strength they will need now to carry on. Nadja |

![]() | Penny & Jacques. I feel a great sense of emptiness about the tragic loss of Penny and Jacques. I have had the honour to be friends with and to dive with both over the many years we have been members of the Randstad Harings. From Penny, I have learnt calmness and persistence to encourage new divers into our sport. Penny always has time for everyone. From Jacques, the enthusiasm of learning and developing skills - and always with a wry grin and a great sense of humour. I wish you both peace, and I offer my sincerest condolences to your families and the very many friends you have. I'll not forget. Degs Green BS-AC 1913 (Randstad Harings) The Netherlands |

![]() | Re: Penny Glover Dear families and friends of Penny and Jacques, I'm not diver myself, but knew Penny from her "parallel" professional life. I was privileged that our working relationship during her stay in Luxembourg grew into the warm and cordial friendship. Last time we met in September during her short stay in Luxembourg. Having a joyful dinner we were talking about her recent dives, going skiing together this winter and planning my inaugural dive in South of France next spring. Her passion for diving and joy of life was just infective. Never experiencing the real enjoyment of diving myself, last days so many times I'm playing in my head few closing scenes from the "Le Grand blue" movie. And I picture both Penny and Jacques in a silent, tranquil and a fairytale-like mass of blue water becoming the one with the perfection and calmness of the sea. I will join Glen today evening at 10:00, open a bottle of red and raise my glass in an honor of Penny's and Jacques' life. I wish families and friends of Penny and Jacques to find enough strength and courage in these difficult times. Alan Last edited by Alan K. : 27th November 2005 at 08:56. |

| Re: Penny Glover I never dived with Penny but we were frequently on the same boat and we've been chating then. I was on the boat going for a dive this morning when someone told me about Penny's accident. I just want to pay a tribute here to Penny. We have lost a friend. Rémi |
