As a colleague of Dave's for 7 years at IBM I can say he will be missed here. When I first met Dave I remember his quality to detail and finish in his work. Nothing was done half-assed by Dave. He did it completely and professionally every time. He could be an intimidating person when you first
met him because you knew two things right away - he knew his stuff and he was not afraid to tell you what was on his mind. And when you think about it, wouldn't it be great if everyone was that way?

We often exchanged pictures and emails of different trips we took over the years. I knew Dave lived for Diving and I also took trips to some of the areas he visited over the years so I was always glad to see his pictures and hear his stories.

He was always there to help when needed and would never turn down a request for help. I don't know much about this diving stuff but I can say we will miss him as well.

Very sad news. I only knew Dave from our few phone conversations, but he seemed like a very decent, thoughtful person. My condolences to his friends and family. -Andy

I was very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I will remember Dave for his enthusiasm for diving and his willingness to share his experiences.

I spoke with Linda this morning and she asked me to post some details about Dave's Funeral arrangements. All his many dive buddies and other friends are welcome.

Visitation will take place on Friday the 21st, between the hours of 7 and 9 pm, at the Rod Abrams funeral home in Tottenham, Ontario. The funeral service will occur the following day, Saturday the 22nd, at 1 pm, in the chapel. Here is a link with directions:
