Tuesday 11th December 2007, there will be a memorial service to celebrate the life of Dennis Barendregt.
It will be held at the chapel of Purslowe Funerals, 15 Scarborough Beach Road, North Perth.
There will be an open casket, with viewing from 4:30pm until approximately 5:30pm, and a DVD slide-show presentation showing, followed by a service with the celebrant Mrs Kim Brown. After the service, a Diveoz / Rebreather World member who lives in the area has kindly offered the use of his house for a gathering. I won't post the exact details of someone's private residence on the internet, just grab me at the service for details.

After the service, Dennis' body will be repatriated to Holland, where his family will be holding a funeral and cremation. Anyone in Holland or Europe who wants details, please drop me a PM, and I'll find out for you.
Some of Denz's remains are staying in Holland, and some of him will be coming back to Australia, where he chose to call home. Current plans (and its a bit of a ways out, details are yet to be worked out, obviously we have had more pressing issues this week), Denz had booked and paid for a private charter on 25th January, for his 35th Birthday, which was to be on 28th Jan. There will be a memorial, celebration, and spreading of the ashes on that day. Obviously spots on the boat will be at a premium, so closer to the date, we'll start getting RSVP's and work out if we need another boat.
I look forward to seeing everyone Tuesday afternoon, and again in January.

Just a clarification, for those who were worried about the "open casket" statement in my last post, the casket will only be open during the viewing time, it will be sealed before the service begins.
After the service, we will be heading to a friends house, please BYO drinks, and due to the fact that we have no idea how many people will be there, we will just order pizza's for anyone who wants something to eat, it will be organised when we're there.
I hope to see you all this afternoon, for those who can't be there, have a thought for Denz at 5:30pm WA time.
