Diver dies in quarry

I was told of some bad news yesterday of a diver i know who died. We were unsure of any truth in the story but I have had it confirmed today.
This link is to a brief story in the local paper this is leicestershire - news, entertainment, jobs, homes and cars

I am sure there are quite a few members on this forum who would have known him for his enthusiasm and ingenuity.

Yes; it is painful to hear of the loss of a close friend, and more so to a diving related accident.
It can be hard to accept such a loss from what is supposed to be a fun reasonably safe recreational activity, I too am still getting over the fact that a good friend is now gone from what was supposed to be a simple weekend ice diving trip back on May 11th.
Totally understand how you feel.
What is important now is the support his family & friends in the difficult days ahead.

This was a good friend of mine and I'm gutted about it,
my sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
I'm not prepared to say who it is yet but he is a member of Rebreather World.
please people play safe i've had enough of loosing my friends and this year is turning into a bad one.
