Thanks for the reply and the advice. Planning on seeing Baz at some stage but want to do some research first so I'm not just tire kicking. I've been lurking on Dive Oz for a while and have seen lots of good stuff on the JJ.

Can I ask what made you cross the line and go for a JJ given you said you were a dedicated KISS diver? When I dived OC I was using a DIR setup and liked the general ethos of continually planning and training for what to in the event of emergencies. Did you wrestle with the idea that having an eCCR taking care of things might dull your abilty to remember how to do things manually when things go pear shaped?

Just as an aside, since you mentioned it, how much would you want for your KISS? Part of the process I am going through is cost based (or at least I need to do dome cost justification/rationalization with the wife) so having some options beyond diving a brand new eCCR unit would also be worth considering as a first step.
