Apecs Deco Software

Hi People,

I am ordering a Meg soon (not soon enough)
and am wondering about the Apecs Deco Software.

Does any one know when this will be available?
Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers Guys

Al

Hi Al,

from what I understand you can either have APECS II package (setpoint controller - 2 handsets, HUD optional) or Bruce Partridge's Shearwater package (setpoint controller and deco calculation - one handset and HUD).

As of 2 weeks ago, no date has been set for the release of APECS 3.0. It sounds great but I wouldn’t hold off ordering a Meg waiting for it.

Hope this helps

Not to bad at all Phi. I particularly like the build quality and the ruggedness. I think the Meg is ahead of the current crop in these 2 areas and it was these points coupled with the scrubber duration with the Cis (or upcoming ISC radial) scrubber that led me down this path. It is a wanky term but I needed an ‘expedition’ rebreather and the Meg has more ticks in the right boxes for what is important to me. West Australia is a wild place

I was at the ISC last week and Steve was saying that Apeks 3 wouldn't be around for at least 9 months

Thanks for the responses.

Tending to lean away from the Shearwater
Looks like will have to upgrade to 3.0 later.

Andy did you get any info on the Radial scrubbersfrom ISC.(dates etc )

Steve Where do you do most of your diving in perth
I am from there too and there's plenty around our coastline
if you put the time and effort in.

Cheers Al
