| VR3 and COPIS Meg Do I absoulutely need the upgrade to a C31 HP cable to fly my COPIS Meg, or can I use the VR3 as a standalone? What are the benefits?

| Re: VR3 and COPIS Meg Do I absoulutely need the upgrade to a C31 HP cable to fly my COPIS Meg, or can I use the VR3 as a standalone? What are the benefits? Many people just use a fixed setpoint algorithm and ensure that they stay at or above that setting. If you use this method you can't be lazy about maintaining a setpoint on a mCCR. I used to set my computer to ppo2 1.1 and manually operate the unit between 1.2 and 1.3. Now I have an eCCR meg I have become a little less vigilant but my HUD keeps me informed pretty well as to how close my setpoint is tracking.

| Re: VR3 and COPIS Meg upgrade to a C31 HP cable to fly my COPIS Meg, I take it you're talking about a C8x as a plugged in PO2 as opposed to a HP monitoring of the cylinder.or can I use the VR3 as a standalone? What are the benefits? As Dave already stated, stand alone computer works good as long as you monitor correctly your mCCR. And you'd better do coz it's the rule if you want these units to keep you alive. It's good to have the on-line deco info though, even on 1 cell only as long as you make sure that this cell is always the middle one (meaning neither the newer, nor the older cell). One would argue that another advantage of the plugged in would be the possibility to better monitor PO2 during an SCR bail out. But I'd say if you have a problem, bail out to OC and forget about the loop. But it's just my opinion and this issue has been to death already.Best Philippe |

What are the benefits? Hi,The C31 Wired High Pressure Link is a kit that connects from your Vr3 to your diving cylinders regulator and monitors the HP contents in the cylinder. The C8 is an Inspiration Oxygen Interface package (Comes with inspo 'Y' connector and lead). The C8a is the Draeger Oxygen Interface package (comes with draeger P connector and lead). The C8b is an Oxygen Analyser package. (Comes with Lead). The above kits include the required pin number to open the Vr3 but if you use your own hardware then the C9 would be the pin number on it's own to open the Vr3 external Oxygen monitoring option. | Re: VR3 and COPIS Meg Hi, I do have to admit that Delta P's website is less than user friendly. I do hope the VR3 is more so. I want to use the VR3 with a mCCR Megalodon rebreather with the COPIS head. I know I need the C2 or C4 upgrade to CC, but am wondering what I need to run the VR3 inline. The C31 Wired High Pressure Link is a kit that connects from your Vr3 to your diving cylinders regulator and monitors the HP contents in the cylinder. Hi,The Vr3 C2 would give you a CCR dive computer and run a profile based on a PPO2 that you would set. Here is a short video from DEMA of the COPIS meg with Ron Micjan. http://www.rebreatherworld.com/photo...o/3442/cat/534 I would suggest having a chat with Ron at link; CCR Dolphin To see what would be suitable for connecting to the COPIS Meg.
