| VR3 PIN Upgrades/Pricing I wonder if anyone can tell me the best/most economic place to go for my VR3 upgrades for use with my new toy-to-be? How much are the C4 (trimix) C5 (VR Suite) and rebreather HP link (C31)? IDC Dive Center back in Vancouver seems reasonable.

| Re: VR3 PIN Upgrades/Pricing If your going to buy the VR3 to PC cable & software then I personally would get the new USB to VR3 cable that plugs into the side of the VR3 .I was told by Delta P that it is £92 .

| Re: VR3 PIN Upgrades/Pricing Detail to another thread I suppose... I managed to set the pin for the Rebreather cable link (C9) into my new VR3 without difficulty, (which was accepted) and even navigated to enter my name and phone number correctly. I fail to see the problems encountered by others, despite the other certain difficulties encountered brief moments before with a 17 y/o daughter and a house full of partying friends (which was promptly aborted...tactfully and giving them something to think about for the rest of the evening, I might add). I gather that linear thinking is somewhat an acquired talent, and therefore am hoping that my upcoming Meg training goes so smoothly. Many thanks to Ron Micjan, whom even though so <unfortunately> predisposed down under (lucky bugger) was able to take care of business between Edmonton, Alberta and Sydney, Australia, a distance of 13,218 km / 8,213 miles and ? time zones (17-1/2 hours difference) away. Edmonton City longitude -112.510833333 City latitude -53.5452777778 Sydney City longitude -151.2 City latitude -32.1333333333 Ron...I am definately looking forward to meeting you in person. I think that Leon has made a wise choice in training instructors, and I have heard that your reputation preceeds you. FIGJAM??? Quite possibly true. p.s. Watch out for the 'rays Regards;

| Cap Ron scourge of the NW ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: VR3 PIN Upgrades/Pricing thanks M8, look forward to doing the class with you. Sydney is GMT+10, my home is GMT-8 and Alberta is GMT -7, Its 6pm here on wednsday, and its 10pm for you on tuesday, hey, if I send you the winning lottery numbers for tomorrow can we split the winnings? FYI according to deltaP, retail shops are required to sell any dive computers, upgrades, and ala carte stuff for the prices they give us. This is to assure everyone getting the same value for the same dollar and avoid the hoaring (sic, to avoid censorship) out of product. Not to mention that the markup between wholesale and retail sucks, we are not making bank on dive computers, by anyones measure. It may not be the best solution, but it is A solution. Im not certain that it is even legal in the states, but for me to keep my dealership, I have to charge the same prices that are in the DP list. If anyone is discounting prices, they will lose the dealership when deltaP finds out, so much for your service after the sale.

| Apprentice Meg Pilot Current Rebreather/s: | Re: VR3 PIN Upgrades/Pricing In my experience the best value I've found has been at Dive Life (UK) and Dive Rite Express (US) depending on shipping cost, exchange rate, etc. Note since you are in Canada, for Dive Life, which is based in the UK, there is no need to pay VAT (sales tax). I've never actually bought anything from either (got my VR3 second-hand) so can't answer as to reliability etc, I can just comment on price based on research that I've done. I guess prices from individual stores will vary and I'm not familiar with your area. | Re: VR3 PIN Upgrades/Pricing Well I can confirm that Dive Life are a joy to deal with, just had my VR£ upgraded, but I am based in the UK. I suppose it's just a case of phoning or paying over t'interweb, you shoulkd be able to deal with them from anywhere in the world. Good luck. MM
