| Adjusting a DS4 for the MEG Can anybody give me some advise on my DS4 regs. I am going to use my DS4 regs on a MEG and wish to remove the IP adjustment. From previous threads, I have read that, it is a simple job with a C spanner. Is it just a case of removing the Diaphram or the plastic plunger from inside? If it is just a case of removing the diaphram, should I make a blanking cap with a hole in it? Many Thanks johno 1624 |

| Re: Adjusting a DS4 for the MEG If you just remove the guts then there's nothing resisting the pressure on the diaphragm and it could leak through it. STick a blanking plug in it, it takes a couple of minutes and the discs are peanuts. Remove the cap, remove the diaphragm, remove the guts, fit the plug (grease the o-ring first) then reassemble. Cheers, Stuart

| Re: Adjusting a DS4 for the MEG Hi Morten You can not use blanking plug with electronically controlled MEG, me thinks. With the plug your IP will not change with diving depth. This changes the amount of O2 injected per cycle. It is for the electronic/Apecs Meg. I am advised that the unit requires a constant IP. Johno MEG owners will correct me when I am wrong ![]() |
