| Re: who is the best instructor for the MEG in South Florida? does any one have a recommendation? I wouldn't limit myself to just FLA, Yes Tom, and others would be excellent choices. But that said, I know Tom Huff of Northeast Scuba (Chelmsford, Mass) spends a couple of weeks every year at 40 Fathom Grotto (he may be teaching there in FEB) and he in my mind is one of the best in the country, not only on the MEG, but most of the others also. Look at your timeframe and see who/what training is underway that meets your timetable. Paul |

| Re: who is the best instructor for the MEG in South Florida? does any one have a recommendation? I don't believe there is such a thing as "best" instructor.. Different instructors have different teaching philosophies, some are very cuddling, others are militaristic.. Different stratagies work with different people.. As hard as an instructor may try accomodate an individual, their normal personality is always going to show through.. Some divers need to be taken command of, others need to have their hands held during training.. A diver that may have trouble with one instructor may do quite well with another.. The best thing to do is get a list of potential instructors, try and find a few of their past students and ask them about the class.. Now choose the one that best fits you..
