Talking It's fixed.. and better!!

As you may have read, my Meg was damaged by TSA as I was flying down to Mexico. Well, thanks to Curt and Mel , the part to repair it arrived today.

As I had the toolkit out, I also decided to attach my shearwater..

..and my new Kent Tooling backplate..

All ready to go . But probably going to be another week or so before I get the chance to go diving
Once again, a big thank you to Mel and Curt who provide help and support even after the course.

Jo....I hate you.

By you being the supreme gadget girl, not only do I find the coolest ratcheting reel (and ditchable weight system ) on my wish list, but now a matching back plate and plumbed Shearwater as well.

Re: It's fixed.. and better!!

One quick question please...

From the first picture, is that a dummy plug to keep the Swagelok O2 inlet clean ?

yes. Predictably you can get both male and female sides. $$$$$ though

Does anyone have the part numbers handy?

I should have the part numbers for the QC-6 connector somewhere...

The remaining question is the block end (i.e. knurled part in the pic), is it from Swagelok or after-market item ? ADDited: Never mind, a simple NPT plug fits it nicely, dooh!

Just though it was a nice idea, and want to know how effective it works in real life since I have used Swagelok for many years now without using the dummy-plug-protect connector.

...but I have plenty of spare Swagelok plugs handy in the dive room so just a matter of getting them out.

Re: It's fixed.. and better!!

Swagelock part numbers for anyone interested..
SS-QC4-SP and SS-QC4-BP
The first one is for the hose end, the other is for the meg head end.

I'm sure I'll be back in Seattle some time this year
