| Ok, here i go again!! In process of buying a meg and i dont know what size wing and back plate to use? I have been recommended the agir brokk 6mm? steel backplate as this will cut down on the amount of weight i need. With regards to wing size, I ll be using steel cylinders and wont be going deep as this is only mod 1, so dont have to worry about stages. Do I get a wing for a twinset or a wing for a single cylinder and what do you recommend? your opinions are appreciated ![]() |

| Re: Wing and Backplate Choice as this is only mod 1, so dont have to worry about stages. Dive-Rite rec Wing and ISC backplate.![]() You should carry a stage even if you dive in your bath, there is no bail-out on a Meg! Cheers, Dave Cooper.

| Re: Wing and Backplate Choice I started off using my existing OC gear (OMS SS BP + 60lb dual bladder elastomer wing). Way too heavy and the redundant inflator hose interfered with the O2 solenoid feeder hose.I then decided on purchasing a Golem stream BP, with a Golem side-mount kit (amongst other things) and complimented that with a 40lb signature series Oxycheq wing. I side-mount a pair of 80's for bail-out, and sometimes they knock against my calves when swimming. Other than that, they seem non-existent. I switched the short inflator of the Oxycheq with the long one of the OMS. I am very with that combination for Meg.Last edited by Gilles : 17th December 2006 at 10:19. |

| Re: Wing and Backplate Choice As Dave stated earlier....AGIR single tank doughnut wing is PERFECT! I have used this wing with 2 s/s backplates webbed together and multiple stage bottles and had plenty of lift. Enjoy. Louis
