| Re: COPIS v Kiss Classic It seems to me that the KISS is designed to be simple and easy to use and maintain. With the quick disconnects, BMCL, and simple displays, it is easy to setup up and gear up. On a boat, without assistance, I can be geared up and get in the water as quickly as with a set of doubles. Yes, I have to do a pre breath, but I generally do that while donning the rest of my gear. The QD on the breathing hoses make it easy to clean. The course teaches you how to assemble and maintain the unit. It's a very user friendly unit. As a final note, the BOV gives the user the ultimate reassurance that life sustaining gas is quickly available. The Meg seems to be built more around rugged function. The OTS counter lungs offer several advantages for deeper dives. There are more recovery modes and deco options. Many of these can be added to the KISS (or other RBs), but they are stock on the Meg. No doubt the Meg is built tougher for deeper dives. However, after diving with Meg buddies, it seems that there are some trade-offs in easy of setup, donning and maintenance. In which case, you have to ask yourself: How often to you go to 250? How long is your average deco? If your Rebreather does not fail, then do you need off board gas? If your loop floods, will you be able to find and fix the problem underwater? Half of my dives are No-deco. Most are less than 20 minutes of deco. However, some are 200-250 with significant deco. My KISS has worked great for these dives. If the majority of my dives were 200+, then I would have considered a Meg.

| Re: COPIS v Kiss Classic And some prefer it above all other designs.... ;-) YES!!! :-)Dave and to my opinion, the recovery from a complete flood... com'on guy's, how many times did you have to do that??? (I 1 time in the last 300 dives, because I was testing a new 'O-ring concept' :-) did not work-out that good :-) regards paul
