Re: Double Bladder Meg Wing

I use a Dive-Rite Rec wing on my Meg with a single bladder.

It is a great wing, has no bladder at the bottom to put the can on and rupture and comes in a Dual wing format too.

I would recommend this.

The CD wings are way too large.

I inflate my wing with my lean mix bailout and my drysuit with my rich mix.

hope this helps,

Dave.

Hi, I have a CD on Boris. It is good because it is width enough. One inflator.
The problem (for me) is that the inflator is mounted on the front side and sometime during dressing is a pity.
I tried Classic Wings from DR but it is too narrow and if I need to inflate it a lot the bladders are constricted between the rig and my shoulders.
For the moment I keep going on with CD and trying something else when I will have occasion.

For me a good one is width enough for the shoulders, bladders outside.
Inflator on the back (like DR), little space to inflate on the top (behind the neck), at least 27 or more kg volume.

With the Meg maybe the DR could be better, I don't know the dimensions.

Best,
Nad

I would run the wing off a stage, if your bladder goes bang then just plug the other inflator in.

Cheers,

Dave.

Re: Double Bladder Meg Wing

Hi,

I use an OMS double bladder. I run one inflator of my argon bottle, aswell as my dry-suit. The other inflator I don't use, unless number one (the left one) has troubles, then I plug the second one in from my stage.

But that's just my way.

Re: Double Bladder Meg Wing

Hi Morg

I use a Dive rite Duel rec wing. I did use a deep outdoors duel 90 pound at first ( thats what I had kicking about) and didn't have any problems with that.

I've not dived the Meg in a wetsuit as yet but would use stages for gas.

I'm Down your way early next year and bringing a "travel Meg" I've yet to modify it.

Hope it helps.

Re: Double Bladder Meg Wing

Have you looked at the Torus wings from DeepSeaSupply? They are 22 mil urethane. It's about double the normal bladder thickness. I realize it's not a double design but thought it might interest you.
