| Re: ANDI Megalodon Training Manual Got mine last saturday, been scanning it a few times, looks great, very informative, good built up. Even my girl (who's a graphic designer) likes it a lot. So i second all what's said before, a very nice and great job. I've just finished reading my copy. I've found it to be detailed, instructive and very practical.Flup I'm convinced that even after training I will be using it again as reference material. I appreciated the taste for detail such as how and when to clean the solenoid. I was actually disappointed when I reached the last page, I would have liked to keep on reading. Can't wait until I finally get my training next spring. As for ordering, Linda proved to be very professional and effective. Thanks for the great work.

| Re: ANDI Megalodon Training Manual Picked up my copy at DEMA and yes, had it signed by Ed (might be worth a few $$ one day). Would be nice to see this manual included when ordering your Meg or even Leon recommend this manual to read before attending a course.

| ~~~~~ #417 ~~~~~ Current Rebreather/s: | Re: ANDI Megalodon Training Manual $75, ouch. I suppose that's reasonable for an advanced textbook...but, well, so much for my idea of getting it now to "pre study" the Meggie. Seriously, the $75 is well worth it for this manual especially if you're going to spend ~$1,500 on a training course. The detail is outstanding. I, too, was disappointed when I came to the last page. If you're seriously looking at the Meg, I would get this book before doing your course.

Reading the textbooks before the course is a habit I got into during college and I've never regretted it. It's just $75 for rebreather stuff is quite a bit for a bankrupt college kid to spend when she hasn't even gotten her basic open-water certie yet.I'm just a techie geek, if I can't *use* a rebreather yet I want to learn everything I can about one. That, and I want to plan in advance so as much of my OC gear as possible can be reused in the future, like getting a backplate-and-wing harness instead of the one piece BCD. |

It's just $75 for rebreather stuff is quite a bit for a bankrupt college kid to spend when she hasn't even gotten her basic open-water certie yet. I did the same thing in college...but I dont think any of my texts would be as interesting as the new Meg manual.I'm just a techie geek, if I can't *use* a rebreather yet I want to learn everything I can about one. That, and I want to plan in advance so as much of my OC gear as possible can be reused in the future, like getting a backplate-and-wing harness instead of the one piece BCD. I have been doing alot of research regarding the Meg...so it is definitely on my list of must-reads.$75 for the manual definitely seems like a good deal, but like you, I am still somewhat bankrupt from college...so this is the closest I will be getting to a Meg or Meg training for a while. |
