Apecs software version

Hi Guys,

I am currently evaluating a second hand Meg for my wife. The software revision of the Apecs is 2.01j . Any issues that I should be concerned with this version? What is the current version? Is it worth sending the head to Leon for upgrade, any idea on the price so that I can deduct on the unit price.

The thread that Joe pointed you toward is definitely worth a read, because there IS an issue with 2.01j you should be aware of.

If you purchase the 2.01j unit for your wife, ISC will upgrade you to the current version (2.01k) free of charge. You will only have to pay freight back and forth to the factory. Heather just recently sent hers in and ISC turned it around and had it back out to us is just a few days.

Hey guys. I'm away from home on business for a week, so I can't check the actual software version on my Meg....but it is definitely 2.01(x). On my unit, the options for O2 injection are 6 or 8 second intervals, and .25, .50, or 1.0 second injection times. Would this be version 2.01j? I always fly my Meg manually, so I can't say I've had a problem with the injection times. I got my unit in Sept '05, and I believe the serial # is 195.

Mike,

Based on your description and when you purchased your unit, it sounds like you've got 2.01j. Double check when you get home. You only have a problem if you have 2.01j AND the solenoid manufactured by Jasksa (should say Jaksa on the side). If you don't have the Jaksa then you're okay. APECS 2.01j works fine with the Snaptite solenoid.
