I got the callout and went to grab my gear, I realised i had pulled my inflator off of my OC BC cause my CCR BC one had exploded. So I could spend time screwing with the inflator, or grab the meg and go. Of course I just ran the thing as an O2 rig. Everything but the meg was packed for my NYC trip tomorrow, and the meg was just sitting there minus cylinders, begging for action. : ) see the rest of the pics at www.tmishop.com/9thholerecovery/index.html

![]() | Re: Travel case for Meg Hi I have a storm M2500 it will hold the canister with electronics and there are also room for CL's (I have neoprene so I like them to be protected), I have drilled holes in the case at the back so the bolts for the backplate can be used to secure the Rebreather in the case, checked in the rest of the gear. If I have done this right there should be pics. of the case. Worked fine for me. Peter |

I recall that people have said the largest carry-on legal Pelican and Storm cases will carry it all minus the cylinders....but I went and looked at Storm cases(the M2500) it didn't look like it would all fit. Anybody have any real experience using these cases(either the Storm or equivalent size Pelican)?? Another thought slightly off topic but related - most (if not all) airlines allow you to take a laptop with you as an extra piece of carry on luggage - mine is tiny-wee (and the laptop is too - oh err missus!) but it got me to a - pondering. Has anyone out there ever used a laptop bag and jammed it full of dive kit whilst travelling.I like the idea that somebody suggested using a Travelpro suitcase...but if it comes down to having to check the bag, the Travelpro will not protect the unit anywhere near as much as the Pelican or Storm. Any recommendations? Mike My thoughts are to take my laptop which is kept in a small padded pistol bag that I could put in a huge laptop bag crammed full of heavy kit like torches regs etc - if asked to show my laptop, I could just whip it out and show the check in staff ( and the laptop too - Crikey, I think I better have a long cold shower and a lie down!!) ![]() | Re: Travel case for Meg I've actually walked on several Continental flights with both a medium pelican (1510, I think) box full of regs, whips, etc. and a smaller pelican box (about the size of a laptop case) with a can light in it, no questions asked. Seemed like as long as it was about the size of a laptop bag and could be stored under the seat in front of you, they don't hassle you much. I've also done this with the 1510 and a reg bag that looks like a laptop case. Jason |

In the top compartment is the laptop and a book. works awesome and very compact, never been questioned on any of it, one carry on and one personal item.
