Very nice and neat. Could you give me the exact measurements on those screws. I.e length, width and that darn imperial thread.

Thanks a mil

Cheers Dries
Hi, I cheated a little and used metric M4 x 17 CS screws as I didn't have any 5/32 screws. There is only the slightest difference in them and seeing as they are screwing into Delrin it won't bother them.

Here is a better pic of the top CL attachment points. Also, I put reflective initials on the bottom of the canister and then covered it in an industrial clear film. In low viz situations, I am identifiable from behind. I also included a pic of the 90-deg swivels for the regulators to take the bow out of the hoses.

Re: What Changes Would You Make to A Meg?

I got to dive with the new primary controller mount today and have to say it worked fantastically!!!!

One last thing I did to it before diving it was I put a strip of 2" velcro hook on the inside where it rests on your arm. When you have it on it's stuck and doesn't budge!!

Super mod...Thanks Eric

Regards,

Lance

Re: What Changes Would You Make to A Meg?

A little off subject but none the less relevent to a lot of Meg divers.

I had been having a bit of trouble seeing my second VR3 when using the Drager FFM. I was sitting at the desk looking at them sitting in the Pelican case side by side and it dawned to me to fit them both to the one strap.

They fit great and when wearing them you don't even have to slip them around....All you need do is twist your wrist.

It's probably been invented before but I haven't seen or heard of it, so here it is........

Regards,

Lance

Re: What Changes Would You Make to A Meg?

Lance,

very nice thought, but for me it was a no go as i have my tanks inverted and its hard to turn your hands and close the valves. what i am saying is it might be hard to work with your hands getting "thicker".

i hope you get what i mean. as long as you are, then i am happy. just a friendly suggestion.

Thanks.

Re: What Changes Would You Make to A Meg?

Lance,

I did the same thing with my VR3 and SP Bottom Timer when I made the Primary Handset Mount out of the slate. I used the third flap of the DR Arm Slate that I took off for the Primary Controller Mount. Now, my primary computer and backup timer are together.

Re: What Changes Would You Make to A Meg?

Ya there's this guy...

It works great and I love it but because the VR3 sits so far up my arm i had to make the mount for my handset so it could be worn further down my arm or I couldn't read the VR3. The wide strap on the handset mount actually goes around my hand like a goodman handle so the entire thing is several inches further down my arm and I can read the screen on the VR3.

Re: What Changes Would You Make to A Meg?

I only mad a couple of small change.

1) The counterlungs attach to my waist belt with a piece of bungee and the fast clips.

2) I removed all of the velcro on the left side of the left counter lung and replaced it with bungee. This made it a lot easier to use my power inflator if needed. removed all of the velcro from the right side of the right counterlung as well.

3) I removed the plastic gauge covers from the SPG's. I like being able to throw a wrench on them if needed.

4) I have both of the computers on wrist straps. ( this was an attempt to prevent the wires from hanging...but I'm looking for a better way now.

5) Changed the mouth piece to an apeks mouth pice...this helped to relieve jaw fetigue.

That's the only stuff I would/have changed It's a solid unit right out of the box!
