Terrific write up! It's great reading and I'll be reviewing it all the time till I get my kit in July!

Thanks Stuart. Nice... What electronics are you using?

Yann.
Hi Yann - they are the Shearwater electronics.

Great job Stuart

Whats the deel with the calibration Kit? do you have to do this all the time or is there another way to calibrate the unit?

ATB

Mark Chase
Thanks Mark,

As Dave says don't have to do it all the time I do it when I strip and rebuild the unit, which is pretty much once a week ready for the weekend and its when I fill the O2 up.

You can do a standard field calibration on it which I guess is like most things where you fill the Loop with O2 then calibrate but it wastes so much O2.

Would love to see equivalent pics and breakdown of other units if people are willing to do it? Any volunteers? I'm thinking Inspiration, Evolution, Classic Kiss, Sport Kiss, Prism ...

(Not intentionally leaving any unit out tho - would be v. interested in seeing all units)

Ahem *cough**cough*

There are also Ron's teardown of the magnificent Cis Lunar MK-5p and C.C.R.'s Ouroboros .
And Pete Mesley's homebuild
Widow Maker .

Will try and get some good pictures if Mike (h2ophotopro) gets his Evo at the end of the month ... he better does the writing, though.

*grins* you have done a superb write up of the Prism Stef, but I think Sarah was meaning she would love to see it split down into its component parts and then built

great post stuart.. amazing how simple the whole process is.. I agree with divechick-- would be fun to see other units broken totally down like that and built back up. Have you been getting to go alot since you got your unit stuart?

Absolutely - I totally agree that there is some excellent stuff on the site already. But what I would really like to see is how they all break down and then are put back together again, so I can see the different components of the units I am not familiar with and how they all fit together.

Have read your write up of the Prism and I thought it was excellent and really enjoyed reading it
