| S21 M.I.B. ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Meg + Cis Canister Hi, Is there a RBW member who is the lucky owner of a Meg AND a Cis-Lunar Canister? ![]() So just a question: How long do you normaly use the Cis scrubber (depending of the sodalime and the usual depth/temperature)? I guess the figures could be slightly different with the Meg than with the Cis-Lunar. Cheers

| I've used mine for 6 Hour's a number of times. With time between dives. I've been told it will go to 9, but would rather throw out lime than test it. Paul |

| Last year a was on the Doria for 2 dives the first day at 230' (@ like 45o Water Temp) for run times like 2 hours and after 2 dives I dumped & repacked with OC Lugo 8-12. I expected the next day I was going to get in 2 more and didn't want to run the scrubber to the end. Also Last year I did 6 (@ like 80o) dives for 1 hour each over 3 day and then changed the sorb out. These were all like 60-100' dives. I do watch the temp in the unit Vrs the water temp and keep and eye on it, but its not set up to do readings for usage on the sorb. I've been told that it would run for about 8-9 hours, but it needs to be tested. I got in a lot of dives last year and threw out a lot of sorb, but I haven't had to buy any HE in like 2 years :-) People have got to understand "its ok to throw out a little unused sorb" And (PLEASE) stop tiring to get every last minute out of it. We have equipment here which will kill you if you let it. Lets not push it. I got and wanted the scrubber for the hydrophobic properties more importantly to me. Also note, I was the production Manager @ Cis-Lunar for the first 40 units out the door and learned a lot about the scrubber and the rest of the rig. Be Safe not Sorry Paul |
