| Cap Ron scourge of the NW ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Own a MEG? Own a VR3? READ THIS!! WARNING: BLATANT COMMERCIAL ADVERTISING!!! At long last, I have finished and now have 50 brand new spanking sharp looking Meg-VR3 brackets. I just hated having my VR3 on one wrist and the Meg handset on the other, especially if I was carrying a camera or holding on to a deco line, or worse yet, holding my camera, while on a deco line, in current, with a shark nipping at my fins. Looking at two arms was just a drag. (guess I could have given one to the shark) Soooo, in the spirit of innovation and invention, I examined the form factor of the Meg handset, and the VR3 back side, and came up with a way to marry the two. My first proof of concept was out of hand carved ABS sheet. hey it worked!!, next was an aluminum hand cut and bent version and I dived that for a few months until my buddy Mike Pement had his shop cut a couple out of 316 SS and gave me one back. We both refined the design, the loop in the end is Mike's idea, and I finally dropped the CAD file off at a local sheet metal shop with my fingers crossed. The first 5 came out perfect and I took them to be coated. These I showed off for the first time at Pirates Cove and everyone I showed them too, liked them and I sold out. So here we go, I now have 50 ready to go. The unit is laser cut from 12ga 316 Stainless Steel, deburred, bead blasted and then treated with marine grade powder coat. The instructions for mounting are attached to this post, I suggest you read them prior to ordering, some assembly is required. The cost is $49usd + Shipping and I accept Visa, MC or Paypal. PattiMegDiver and myself are heading to Innerspace 06 in Cayman on the 18th of May, and we will be back to ship out orders after the 28th. Contact me via email at ron@tmishop.com to order. <<<<<<<<<<ending blatant commercial advertising, returning to RBW>>>>>> (stuart, free bracket for you for allowing use of your site to promote)

| Who loves ya, baby ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Own a MEG? Own a VR3? READ THIS!! ![]() Very good job, Ron, both on the bracket as well as on the instructions. Am curious, why did you choose the cotter pin? Wouldn't two holes in the bracket with zip ties be as easy, give you redundancy (in addition to the lanyard, because Ron will not buy you guys new VR3s!) and solve any corrosion problem?

| Cap Ron scourge of the NW ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Own a MEG? Own a VR3? READ THIS!! I thought about that, but it would have been too sloppy in fit, I like things tight. the pin that the VR3 comes with is SS also and this will corrode less than that will. Glad ya like it!
