Ken has uploaded a video http://www.rebreatherworld.com/galle...mages.php?c=26 which has a modified Meg in it.....

The diver has a small Red cylinder on his right hand side - does anyone know how that is mounted?

Hi Stuart,

I am trying to remember how he mounts his argon? It's got some elastic cording, as well as some type of fabric mount. It was easily removed if there is an entanglement issue.

I haven't seen the video, but if it is an Argon tank, I simply use 2 elastic loops on the backplate. Easy to put on/off while on land and u/w.

I don't use Argon, can't be asked and not convinced of the benefits.

I no longer dive with a small suit inflation cylinder just run it off my rich mix righthand bailout.

Cheers,

Dave Cooper.

To be honest was thinking of using it as suit inflation and a small bailout cylinder for fluffy Wraysbury and no deco dives.

Personally, I found GI setup is a PITA with Rebreather since the tank will get dragged on the floor when sitting on land as the rig isn't as tall as a twinset. When u/w, if having to put on/off with stages, you need to unclip all of the bottom clips on them beforehand - not a problem but more work.

Just put 2 bungie loops on the side of the backplate, the bottom one smaller than the top since the tank is upside down. Then just push the tank from the bottom up, and pull down the same direction.

We had a dive when my buddy had a problem with his, and I simply pulled mine off, handed it to him to inject, passed back and put in place. All in less than 1 minute.

Personally, I find that using Argon needs to be correct in flushing the drysuit before the dive. You have to completely flush the air out of the suit with Argon or you won't see the correct effect. Then again, all depending on the water temp and how long of the exposure. I find using Nitrox/air is OK for tempered condition, but trimix definitely is too cold for me.

I agree. The little bottle takes a good bashing if you're not careful. Here's a better pic. off the net. Now where's that digital camera...#%@$
