Hi Tim,

Thanks for the info. I'm hoping it settles down tomorrow so that we can get wet here in NE! As per head durability I wonder if anyone has ever hit an obstruction during penetration. On a picky note I see a mini-shroud as a useful accessory for head and hose protection, or is this a non-issue since the Meg. profile doesn't seem as large as a Insp. or certainly as out there as the megacephalic Optima.

Re tomorrow..I know that Bill Reddan cancelled the weekend. The forecast was for 8-10 tomorrow. I haven't checked recently though. Since I'm on surgery recovery, getting wet isn't an option for me anyway...until next weekend.

As far as lid durability goes, you're going to hit a lot of stuff before you get to the can lid. Acetal is tough stuff, I'm not too worried about it getting damaged.

As discussed, I don't have the in-water time to have a firmly held opinion, but it would seem that those steel 20's would provide enough protection to make a shroud unnecessary. After watching Andrew in the pool with a meg and 2 inspirations, the meg is definitely a lower profile.

While we're on that note I have a short clip of Andy threading his way through the Jodrey diving his MegCisInspidon hybrid. He's definitely a finesse artist. Having scootered through some tight spaces I have a few scratches here and there on CCR/ OC. Nothing major, but I always think about entanglement and abrasion effects. the clip is 28 seconds on Quicktime MPEG 4. Offer is good till whenever since the seas are now 8' - double grumble. Ken

Question General question on a slow day

Does diving a Megalodon automatically turn you into a Megalomaniac?

I definitely think so. I'm getting an urge to listen to hard rock music, pushing small animals around - that or join an elite dive group.

Thanks Stuart. I'll be editing a short piece today (under 2.0 meg) and loading it. Cheers. Ken
