And I thought they were having problems with the Visions software. Unless you went full trimix.

This is a full size meg in a carry on legal case. Have to store the loop in my backpack though...

Yes the Apeks 2, The "handsets" shut off (they are only displays), The HUD still does its job and the controller still maintains setpoint.

Yes but its a non existent option now, plus from what I have seen and been told many of the shearwater versions are no longer in service..

so far it appears as the known issues have been fixed.. but I still don;t like the single display..

I would like to hear what has gone wrong too, on both units. People rave about build quality, but what's more important is what goes wrong and what happens when it goes wrong. ...and how well the manufacturer responded.

You could ask DiverKlondike (Mark Nix). He's pretty up on it. Andrew Driver of Mad Dog Exp. has been using a HammerMeg for the longest time 3-4 years?. If you look at the movie archives you can see him using a hybrid Meg. with the Hammerhead. Pretty nice system, but I like my Shearwater for a variety of reasons some aspects highlighted by Stuart in his Meg. teardown. My particular Shearwater has been flawless.

I absolutely love it, the perfect solution to the HORRIBLE Classic handsets, I always hated them with a vengeance from the day I got the unit, to the day I parted with it.

I love my VISION and wouldn't swap it for anything.

Well, maybe, errrmm,,,, " The Sugababes", but I might be a bit old for all three. Could always work out a shift system though.
