| Johnny The Hatch Current Rebreather/s: | Connecting the HS Explorer to the Meg with APECS electronics Hi, Inspired by the similar thread about connectiont the HS to the Prism, i am now very interested to know how you guys do this on the Meg, specially in case you have the APECS electronics, in case of shearwater you would just use the second connection that is free. Also i would really like to know where you carry the HS, with the APECS you will have two displays, the primary has a strap and the seconday has a clip, well the primary goes on the left hand and the seconday on the right. And the HS, as well as the VR3, has the fisher connection on its left side that would force you to wear it on your left hand or hang it by a clip. So what are you doing? kind regards Jonny

| Re: Connecting the HS Explorer to the Meg with APECS electronics Was going to do this with mine. But, it never worked long enough to try it. HS that is. Got it in the water to 100ft once now. And no flood and didn't eat a battery and the display didn't dissappear. We'll see how it does this season. My experience has been it lasts 5 dives and it needs to go back. I know they say they have the problem fixed now. But they've said that 3 times over 2 years. I'd use the VR3 I have but it's a long deco without the VPM. Upgrade to vpm was kinda steep so I ain't paying it. I use the Shearwater now. And tables. |

Hi Rodge. And what is the direct benefits? Best Rodge It depends on your current version. But you can find the prices on http://www.vr3.co.uk/ under the link: "New optional VPM based decompression algorithm upgrade available NOW (click here for further information)" There is also an example of a dive profile with VPM vs. Buhlmann. | Re: Connecting the HS Explorer to the Meg with APECS electronics both units on the left arm Stagard one under the other not a problem, I believe dennis vessy is running a forth cell in his meg, on RBW as diverden. I think he had leon make him a a new inhalation C/L with an adv fitting on the lung. he then runs a modified ADV no valve just the caseing for cell mounting and the forth cell sits in the inhalation lung. I am probably going to order a new lung and do something similar. |
