"On the other hand I don’t get the impression that the meg is marketed to first time rebreather buyers such as myself but instead marketed to the hard core tec diver who is more likely to be persistant and more versed in what their configuration preference would be, so losing business to people like me is probably of little concern to ISC" Hi Gill- I have seen many first time Rebreather divers in a new MEG. I really don't think that the MEG is any different or harder to learn than any other RB's. If you want to learn and have the ability to apply that knowledge to RB diving then I don't think the unit really makes any difference. I feel your frustrations and concerns, don't give up now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Living in Seattle, you have the MEG and KISS factories very close by. The new Copis MEG and KISS models bring simplicity, price and I feel a greater chance of reliability and maintenance in the field. Mel has a COPIS MEG and I have my tricked out KISS Classic with the new Shearwater Integrated computer and a Guardian HUD. You are welcome to come over anytime. |

Not ready to throw in the towell with the evo's, in fact i really like mine but that is getting really eclipsed by the fact that my main dive buddy, my wife, has been having the blues over hers. In any case, it would be really nice to get a good look and feel for the copis, seems like a cool unit, would love to check out mel's. i'll give you guys a ring soon...
